Advancement Information Management

Advancement Information Management (AIM) partners with Information Systems to manage data on alumni, donors, parents, and friends of UC Berkeley. It provides comprehensive and current biographic, organizational, relationship, and prospect data for the advancement community through integration with campus systems, updates from the @cal Online Alumni Community, screening services, and other online resources.

AIM includes Alumni Records and Central Files, and provides front line data support for the @cal Online Alumni Community project.

Alumni Records
Alumni Records supports the University's fundraising and public relations efforts by maintaining and enhancing biographic and organizational information on nearly 1,000,000 individuals and organizations in the Campuswide Alumni/Development System (CADS). It helps campus units to incorporate new types of data into CADS and performs data quality assurance.

Central Files
Central Files archives and preserves biographic information and gift documentation on donors and prospective donors. It administers a loan service for 1,100 files and provides obituary reports.
