The Office of Gift Planning offers gift plans that furnish significant tax and financial benefits to the donor while providing important long-term support to the University. These plans include:
The office also offers trusteeship along with administrative services for many of the plans listed above. A brochure series covers creative gift opportunities. The unit also publishes two newsletters: Cal Futures, for alumni and friends, and Techniques, for professional advisors. All activities of the Benjamin Ide Wheeler Society, a group formed to recognize those who are providing long-term support to the University through planned gifts or bequests, are coordinated through this office.
The Office of Gift Planning is qualified to provide detailed explanations and calculations illuminating the benefits of planned gifts. Discussion of planned giving topics is an excellent way to learn more about a prospect's overall estate plan and financial giving capabilities.
