International Relations

The International Relations office helps to build a visible and recognizable presence for the University of California, Berkeley internationally. The Assistant Vice Chancellor for International Relations represents the University in meetings with esteemed international donors, alumni, and friends.

The International Relations office is responsible for leading the University’s international fundraising efforts, with a focus on leadership gifts from the Asia-Pacific region. In addition, the office plays a key role in fundraising for the East Asian Library and Studies Center project.

As part of its outreach efforts, the International Relations office organizes a bi-annual Asian Leadership Conference with rotating venues in various Asian countries. The office also manages select Scholarship Programs funded by international donors—the Berkeley Scholars Program and the Liu Scholars Program.
