University Communications provides the campus with a wide variety of communication services. Made up of experienced writers, editors, web- and print- designers, the unit is responsible for:

• Design, development, and maintenance of UC Berkeley’s Gateway Site—the campus home page and associated top-level pages.
• Design, development, and daily publication of the online UC Berkeley NewsCenter and the campuswide calendar of events.
• Editing, design and production of the Berkeleyan faculty/staff newspaper.
• Editing, design and production of the General Catalog, for print and web.
• Editing, design and production of school announcements.
• Production of publications and handling publicity for Cal Day, an annual campuswide open house.
• Writing, editing, design and production of the Cal Parents newsletter, Letter Home.
• A variety of design and editing projects from units across campus.
