Scott Biddy is Vice Chancellor for University Relations at the University of California, Berkeley. He is responsible for programs that strengthen relations with alumni, parents, and friends of the University, primarily in the areas of development and public affairs. In this role, he serves as president of the UC Berkeley Foundation, a not-for-profit corporation that raises, invests, and administers private funds for the campus.
Scott came to Berkeley in 2002 as Associate Vice Chancellor for University Relations from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. His deep belief in the transformative power of education is the foundation for his work in strengthening the communities of educational institutions while seeking philanthropic support for their people and programs.
Scott joined his alma mater, Rice University, in 1992 as executive director of the Association of Rice Alumni after having spent seven years in the banking industry in the Northeast and Texas. He later became Associate Vice President for Development.
After spending over seven years in development and alumni affairs at Rice, he joined Georgetown University as Associate Vice President and led the expansion of their billion-dollar campaign.
Scott earned his bachelor of arts in English and managerial studies from Rice in 1986.
